"The Doctors' Goodwill Foundation's initial mission was simple....to help physicians and healthcare workers who gave of their time and expertise on various missions throughout the world. Since then we have helped thousands of people in need both internationally and locally not only by helping those who go on missions with supplies and equipment, but also to those who are victims of disasters here in the United States such as Hurricane Katrina. Locally, those who suffer a terminal illness often qualify for assistance with their medical needs and students who are pursuing a career in healthcare can apply to receive financial scholarships."
